Structural evolution, crystallization behaviour and mid-infrared emission properties in Yb/Ho codoped oxyfluoride germanosilicate glass ceramics with varied Si/Ge ratio

Changes in glass structure and crystallization behaviour from oxyfluoride silicate to germanate were studied by modifying the ratio of Si/Ge germanosilicate ceramics, transparent ceramic with low light scattering efficient mid-infrared emissions obtained. The NaYF4 nanocrystals ability was decreased increase Ge content, which can be attributed weakened oxide fluoride phase separation GeO2-rich glass. Upconversion down-conversion emission spectra together Ho3+: 5I6 energy level fluorescent decay curves have been discussed for SiO2-rich ceramics induced decrease multi-phonon non-radiative rates plays main role transfer processes. influence on 2 ?m 3 glasses its link network structural changes discussed. optimized Yb/Ho codoped scattering, high peak cross section(11.18 × 10?21cm2) maximum gain coefficient (1.387 cm?1) at 2888 nm provides a potential application development new laser devices based materials.
